A theatre show for children based on Rossini's opera

A world premiere of La bottega di Figaro is staged at the Teatro di Pisa: a musical reworking by Gianluca Piombo of Rossini's Barbiere di Siviglia. Produced and staged by the Theatre of Pisa, La bottega di Figaro is the fruit of the first edition of the project "Piccoli Artigiani all'Opera", which brought opera back into schools with the collaboration of EcoTeatro and with the support of the Fondazione Pisa; 684 children from the Pisa schools are involved in the production of the Chorus; the scenes and costumes are made from recycled materials.
